David is a good buddy with whom I share a solid bromance. Marketing manager at Olive Baptist Church, he asked me for some headshots for his new website and personal branding, and we had a great time kicking around downtown on a Sunday afternoon.

I went back to my roots last weekend with a very simple shoot with a new collaborator, Lana.

I love shooting in natural light, and I am very pleased with the way these photos came out, with a variety of styles and moods. Lana did a great job of capturing the raw expressiveness I had hoped to capture with this project.

Expecting in Pensacola, FL: Philip and Kathryn

A little over a year ago, Philip and Kathryn were married in a fairy tale wedding in an Irish castle. I was not the photographer for that gorgeous day, but I had the honor of capturing the photos to announce the birth of their first child, due this fall. This charming couple continue to evoke the idea of "fairy tale" with the beautiful theme they chose for their baby announcement.

Winter is just so beautiful in this area. The drier air yields incredible visibility to the landscape.

I took the opportunity to step away from my usual "meat and potatoes" approach of doing as much as possible in-camera and practiced shooting for HDR processing.
